Trust Laboratories is a software assurance firm commited to changing software development so that the software is right the first time. We do this through several different offerings:

• Specification Creation

Specification Creation

We bring together representatives from the target clients along with developers to develop a list of requirements and preferences. These requirements and preferences are then developed into a testing specification. The testing specification is only accepted after the client and developer team has accepted it, and after rigorous internal examination to check that everything on the list can be sucessfully tested. At this point, the developers can easily inform their engineers of the actual requirements with the full knowledge that the intended client will appreciate the result. Simultaneously, we develop the actual test suite and instructions specifically to match the test requirements. Most importantly, these test suites and instructions are available to the developers and their clients enabling them to see for themselves whether or not unreleased or prior released products conform.

Consulting

In order to make sure that there is no lost information or confusion, we consult with both clients and developers. This allows us to communicate in terms useful to each individual client. Consulting also provides us with the opportunity to learn first-hand what changes are necessary for the next generation of the specification.

Testing

Our testing is strictly focused on the specification. During testing, the product(s) are brought into our lab, isolated, and the test suite and instructions are applied to the letter. This creates an environment where issued assurances can be compared exactly.

Assured Updates

While our testing verifies compliance with a given standard, we understand that occassionall updates will be necessary. To accommodate that and prevent fake updates from being spread, we offer a service of assuring updates. This allows updates to be distributed in a trusted manner to all clients.
